Masanobu (Mas) has over 13 years of experience in new issue syndication and multi-currency illiquid asset management. He established the first Far East Asia capital market business unit of the Bank of Boston (now Bank of America) before joining WestLB’s Tokyo branch to lead their Emerging Markets division.

Mas is the lead partner in IncTANK’s Tokyo office, where he supports business development initiatives for our portfolio companies while managing strategic relations with our co-investors across Asia. He currently sits on the national committee of Japan’s Intellectual Property Strategy Consultation Program for new ventures and small/medium enterprises while also lecturing on entrepreneurship and intellectual property strategies at the University of Tokyo, Kyoto University, and Nagoya University. Mas earned his CBA from Konan University (Kobe, Japan) and an MBA in International Finance from the University of Pittsburgh.

Mas’ areas of focus lie in materials and computational sciences.
