Agrivida Announces USDA Deregulation of GRAINZYME Phytase Feed Enzyme

Agrivida, a privately held biotechnology company, announces the deregulation of its innovative GRAINZYME® Phytase enzyme feed additive by the United States Department of Agriculture’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (USDA’s APHIS). Deregulation is effective as of September 21, 2021.

The USDA deregulation follows a complete review of the food and feed safety of GRAINZYME Phytase through the FDA Biotechnology Notification process, which demonstrated the safety of the product as well.

We are thrilled to have achieved the past FDA approval for commercial sale of GRAINZYME Phytase to the poultry and swine markets as a feed additive, and now, deregulation from the USDA. This represents an important milestone for Agrivida in the development of our INTERIUS technology, which will expand the possibilities for growing GRAINZYME Phytase and lower its production cost.
